KEY PERSONEL

Donald Percy

Donald Percy was trained to fly helicopters by the Australian Regular Army, and spent over 6 years developing his skills with them in a variety of tasks all over Australia and Papua New Guinea. He was trained in day/night/night vision goggle/and instrument flying. He has also worked for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Queensland. He has over 13,000 hours flying time.

Richard Arends

Richard Arends is our Chief Pilot. Richard has been with Williambury Helicopters since 2005 and in that time has proven himself to be a very reliable and conscientious pilot and Chief Pilot. Richard learnt to fly in his home country of New Zealand, and is completely at home in the bush in his helicopter. He has Civil Aviation Safety Authority approvals to conduct low flying and mustering training, and personally checks all our pilots regularly.

All our pilots are carefully selected for personality type, maturity, bush experience and flying training and abilities. We get regular feed back from our clients to assist with personal development, and training.

Helicopters

Williambury Helicopters operates the world’s top selling helicopter: Robinson Helicopters. Robinson’s engineering emphasis is on quality, reliability, and performance. Robinson Helicopters have fewer accidents due to aircraft or engine failure than other light helicopters. They offer a fast, comfortable, and convenient way to achieve your objectives.

R22

The R22 is a two seated helicopter that is perfect for small jobs where the convenience of a helicopter is required and only one person with minimal equipment is needed to complete the task at hand. Visibility is outstanding and low operating costs make this helicopter an attractive option for many missions.

R44

The R44 has four seats, and is the fastest, most reliable helicopter in its class. Four people with a small amount of baggage can be accommodated, or fewer people with more equipment. This helicopter has a good external load capability as an added option. Loads of up to 500kg can be transported into remote inaccessible areas with ease. Three people could be transported from Karratha to Newman in under two hours, and with full fuel the R44 has a range of about 600 kilometers.
